Legal's mate trap gambit explained

Legal's mate trap gambit  explained .

This gambit is one of the most frequently played by grandmasters in their games , because this gambit's preciseness it has very less variation as you can see , I have tried explaining this gambit as simple as possible for you .

Shockingly this gambit is not very well known or simply put very few people know about this because of it's stunning queen sacrifice , earlier I explained you some variations of gambits such as  Budapest gambit's variation 3 in which you had a variation as a queen sacrifice but this gambit is predominantly made for it  .

This  legal's mate trap gambit will only work if you are playing as white and had to sacrifice queen for a checkmate in next few moves . In this video I mentioned a variation which is most likely to be played by your opponent .

As you can see the bishop just captured your queen but white not caring about it checkmates the black with a bishop and it's knights .

If you want to know more gambit for white checkout my Queen's  gambit , and for black you can check out Budapest gambit and Stafford's gambit , and in the part 2 post of the Stafford's gambit part 2 I've explained how to counter this Stafford's gambit if your opponent plays at you .

Hope that helps , Cheers !!!☺.
